Check Out that Character’s Character!

This week, we’re analyzing the way authors create memorable characters.

ESSENTIALS:
1. What is character, and how does it show up in writing?
2. How does an author create a character that seems real?
3. How can I punctuate dialogue correctly?
4. Can I create a character that seems alive?

We’re going to take a break from essays and complete a short project in the next few days. It may or may not have something to do with a character and a t-shirt! 🙂

We also have our very first common assessment THURSDAY. Start reviewing vocabulary roots, and stay tuned for a study guide tomorrow.

I have been SO impressed with (and surprised by) your writing! Parents, ask your kids to log on to Blackboard and show you what they’ve been writing!

Looking forward to a great week,

Chaffin
